Yoshiko Home

Lisa van Roode is the founder of Yoshiko. She has worked in fashion for many years, producing large volumes of T-shirts, jeans and other items of clothing abroad for well-known retail chains. On the way she encountered many abuses in factories and workshops.Sense of injustice kept gnawing at her as she drove through the streets of Dhaka past slums and slums where stray children are looking for a better life. With the establishment of her own home ware label Yoshiko, Lisa decided to give something back to the children in Bangladesh.Yoshiko stands for accessories in the house, made from natural materials such as seagrass, of which there is an enormous amount, so that the local population can earn something in a fair way.For Yoshiko, for example, seagrass is processed and woven into the most beautiful baskets where we use our plants or throw in the laundry.
